String Ensemble Grade 3.
 
The Heroes Suite is a fun collection of lively original tunes suited to school string ensembles. Written in a variety of musical styles and techniques. The Heroes Suite includes full parts for violin 1, violin 2, viola / violin 3, cello and double bass. Beginner cellists may choose to play the double bass part in some pieces. The piano accompaniment supports and lifts the ensemble and can either be be included or omitted from performance.
 
HEROES SUITE includes - 
GOBLINS AND GREMLINS - A creepy piece in minor tonality to introduce playing in low fingerings. Pizzicato and Ponticello techniques also required. Piano part optional.
HEROES ANS VILLAINS - A Mighty Battle March, to develop a full ensemble sound and strong rhythic skills. Piano part optional.
BUCCANEERS AND BLUEBEARDS - A fun swaying sea shanty waltz in B minor with 3/4 and 6/8 feels. Piano part optional.
GANGSTERS AND GOODGUYS - A cool blues inspired melody with traffic and siren sound effects. Piano part optional.
