KAREN DE NARDI is a classically-trained violist who holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (classical) from the Elder Conservatorium.
An accomplished performer, composer and arranger, her experience as a freelance artist spans classical, folk, pop and jazz. She has performed as violinist and violist at WOMADelaide, Europafest, East End Jazz Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Guitar International Festival and the Adelaide Fringe.
She has worked with Acoustic Odyssey, the Baker Suite, Co-Opera, Patch Children’s Theatre Company and Brink Theatre Company, and as a member of the jazz-folk ensemble Vincent’s Chair she toured the European circuit for eight years.
MIKE BEVAN taught jazz guitar at Elder Conservatorium for over 25 years, and gained a Master of Music specialising in Brazilian guitar music from the University of Adelaide.
He has performed nationally and internationally including tours with Andy Bevan in Japan and performances in Brazil. He has performed at WOMADelaide with Caliente Guitar Trio and Adelaide International Guitar Festival with Yamandu Costa and Doug de Vries, Alain Valodze, Slava and Sharon Grigoryan.
Other concert performances include the Elder Hall concert series with Alex Tsiboulski, Doug de Vries and Charmaine Jones.
